"The world has slowed so you can rediscover yourself"
A collection made with self awareness of pure consciousness–– developed during quarantine in Costa Rica, where the simplicities of life became apparent and warm. As the world came to a halt, there was a new and truer meaning to appreciating the pause and simple life. Simple acts such as hanging clothes to dry, drinking coffee while watching the ocean, cooking dinners, listening to the sounds of nature, taking in the sunlight and more. This new collection truly reflects nature in its purest form–– steady and simple.
Nightswim partnered with Bex Griffen Photography for our new collection. Someone who we are immensely grateful to have on our team since day one! Bex is extremely talented and helps bring the clothes to life. Our dynamic is just effortless and she's a key element when delivering the vision for the brand. We were fortunate enough to shoot our first campaign in Tulum (yes-–the vibes were amazing!), and for our second shoot we met with her again in Los Angeles. This time we stayed low-key, avoided travel and shot at her house then Malibu using backdrops that mirrored our color pallet.
The color palette is inspired by the desert sunset hues over the White Sands desert — a special gem that's forever an inspiration. These earthy tones are intended to sit perfectly with our previous Nocturna Collection. We encourage everyone to simply add-on to your Nightswim staple pieces, both old and new items on our site match perfectly.
We are very excited to have worked with this lovely model, Chaya Median, to model our new PAUSA collection. A Swedish and French beauty that makes the shoot run so smoothly — not even one complain, even when modeling bikinis in 50 degree weather at the beach. She's a trooper! Of course, another special thanks to our makeup and hair artist, Laura Raczka for capturing the natural beauty essence of the brand.
For our fabric we used our existing organic cotton and recycled P.E.T french terry fabric. The french terry fabric also serves as an absorbent element to use near the water for relaxing days at the beach or pool. However, the silhouettes reflect loungewear easiness and coziness that can be worn in several ways — working out, lounging at home or running errands.
Nightswim is also introducing a new fabric called Cupro— a recovered cellulose fiber, made from cotton linter, that would otherwise be discarded due to its small size. It's a more sustainable option to our existing rayon challis.
We are excited to reveal our new collection to all of you. We encourage everyone to join us on this new journey of simplicity and PAUSA.
Our new collection will be available to shop at the beginning of 2021! Stay tuned!
